John Howard was on the election trail at an event for the Women in Business organization at the MCA. 1996 It was at this event that John Howard fell off the stage. Wherever the media pack was, I wasn't. When he fell, I was changing lenses looking for a completely different image. I think I was even staring at the audience, with my back to him and the stage. When I returned to the picture desk everyone asked me if I got IT ......(the shot of him falling from the podium) for me its not about getting IT, it's never about IT for me, if it was IT, I would be a technician not a photographer. During this election, I had more coverage with my images at the AFR Newspaper.
