Colour & Texture
It is easy to understand this project as knee-jerk reaction to the tiresome commercial photography that I felt. It shows at first glance, no information, no subject, and no focus, all in obvious contrast to the industry requirements of my clients.
However the subtlety in colour, minium palette, balance and ascetic construct leave you wanting to find either an emotional content or 'it looks likes' and thus exploring your own relationship within the imageless photograph.
Even without a known subject or focus, I have explored and captured my own emotional state and the way I see the world as an edgy environment. In contrast, some of the works with bold colours seem to remain static in their statement, yet others seem to change their emotional content when viewed in either different circumstance or context.
Texture is an escape for me and a challenge for the viewer to view, search, reach and feel without and within.
